Bio

Jessica McAleer Decatur is the vice president for marketing and communications at St. Joseph’s University, New York. With more than 25 years of experience, her primary role is to establish and maintain a consistent institutional brand while enhancing the University’s overall reputation and visibility on the local, regional and national levels. Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all efforts and initiatives related to the University’s marketing and branding, McAleer Decatur manages all internal and external communications, print and digital publications, advertising, media relations, social media, community relations, public, government and legislative affairs and the University's website.

McAleer Decatur is a member of the Fair Media Council and Public Relations Professionals of Long Island, among several other prestigious industry organizations. She serves on the board of directors for the Fair Media Council, a local nonprofit organization recognized as one of the oldest, most successful media watchdogs in the country that advocates for quality news and works to create a media-savvy society in a media-driven world; and the Rose Brucia Educational Foundation, a national not-for-profit organization that teaches the importance of stranger safety awareness.
