Through a partnership with the Audacia Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services for people seeking careers in health care, the University will offer free tuition for eligible social work students who are working toward a Master of Social Work (MSW) at SJNY.
Through the Audacia Foundation, Inc., and the New York State Department of Health’s Career Pathways Training Program (CPT), SJNY will offer eligible students the opportunity to earn an MSW with the cost of tuition, books and fees fully covered in exchange for committing to three years of post-graduate employment with an approved organization that serves predominantly low-income families and individuals. In addition, students will receive tutoring, test preparation and assistance with job placement upon program completion.
Students must apply to join the CPT program and must enroll or already be enrolled full-time in an MSW program; programs must be completed within three years or by May 2027.
Jo Anne Durovich, Ph.D., LMSW"The mission of St. Joseph’s University includes a focus on value-oriented education, career preparation and enhancement, and social responsibility and service. Just as the Sisters of St. Joseph have historically been guided by the focus on inclusivity, justice and caring for one’s neighbors as we would care for our own, so too is the profession of social work."
