One-Credit Summer Courses Available at SJC

Patchogue, N.Y. – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce its summer schedule of one-credit continuing education course workshops. These courses in health and human services training are offered during the month of June on SJC’s Long Island Campus.

“We are looking forward to another great series of classes this year and welcome health and human services professionals who decide to take advantage of these offerings,” said Carolyn Gallogly, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Human Services on the Long Island Campus of SJC. “Although our most popular offerings continue to be grant writing and Medicaid, we are excited about our new social media offering for Long Island health professionals.”

The summer 2015 courses include:

Workshop #1: Fundraising for Organizations – June 6 and 20, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Workshop #2: Grant Proposal Writing – June 3, 4, 10 and 11, 6 – 9:45 p.m.
Workshop #3: Event Planning – June 24 and 25, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Workshop #4: Medicaid – June 1, 2, 8 and 9, 6 – 9:45 p.m.
Workshop #5: Health Topics – June 15, 16, 22 and 23, 6 – 9:45 p.m.
Workshop #6: Health Care Advocacy – June 6 and 20, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Workshop #7: Social Media in Health Care – June 17, 18, 24 and 25, 6 – 9:45 p.m.
Workshop #8: Gambling as an Addiction – June 6 and 20, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
