PATCHOGUE, N.Y. MARCH 3, 2014 St. Josephs College (SJC) is pleased to announce that Shannon ONeill, assistant dean on the Colleges Long Island Campus, was recently honored at the Fifth Annual Suffolk County Veterans Appreciation Night for her work on behalf of veterans. ONeill received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Tim Bishop (D-Southampton) and a proclamation from Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone.

"I am humbled to be recognized for my work with the veterans of Suffolk County, said ONeill. "It is truly an honor for me serve a population of students who are so selfless and have sacrificed so much for this country. It is so rewarding and I am grateful for the opportunity."

The annual event allows the County Executive and the Suffolk County Veterans Services Agency to recognize employees from county agencies, as well as outside entities, for their service to their communities.
