BROOKLYN AND PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – September 10, 2018 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) was once again ranked as one of the nation’s top colleges by U.S. News & World Report. For more than a decade, SJC has been selected as one of the nation’s top colleges by U.S. News & World Report in the Regional Universities – North category, and this year saw the College move up nine spots in the rankings.
“This year's U.S. News and World Report listing once again confirms that St. Joseph's College delivers on its promise to provide its students with a world-class education that will prepare them for success,” said Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph.D., SJC president. “Our emphasis on offering our students a truly transformative college experience at a modest cost enables them to begin their adult lives with little debt and in a position to thrive.”
With campuses in Brooklyn, Long Island and Online, SJC was selected to this year’s list of top Regional Universities–North based upon its high graduation and retention rates, as well as social mobility of its graduates, assessment of excellence, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving. In addition, U.S. News & World Report named SJC to its list of Best Colleges for Veterans. The College was selected to this list due to its high comprehensive rankings, as well as its eligibility in the 9/11 GI Bill® Yellow Ribbon Program.
