PATCHOGUE, N.Y. APRIL 8, 2014 The Offices of Alumni Relations and Career Development, Wellness and Disability Services at St. Josephs College (SJC) are pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring the sixth annual Day on Wall Street event for current SJC students on Friday, May 2.

Established by SJC alumna Michelle-Lee Cona Rabinowitz 02, this annual event offers students an opportunity to learn from successful SJC alumni who are working in the business world and are members of SJCs Alumni Mentoring Program. This years visits will include the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank and ESPN.

"The Day on Wall Street event is an opportunity for our students to meet professional alumni of St. Josephs who are available to share their knowledge and wisdom, said Frank LaTerra, executive director of the Office of Career Development. "This event is a unique honor for students who are chosen to attend, as well as a rewarding opportunity for professional growth."

After a competitive application process, the students who are chosen to attend the event are required to dress in business attire, bring resumes and prepare a list of questions to ask the presenters about working in business.

"In today's market, students and recent graduates are having a more difficult time planning for their futures, said Catherine Vitucci '04, assistant director of alumni relations. "The Alumni Mentoring Program helps SJC students and recent graduates get through this tough economic climate by helping them make professional connections with successful alumni. A Day on Wall Street gives students the valuable opportunity to hear and speak with alumni face-to-face.
