SJC Long Island Announces Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – AUGUST 10, 2018 – The Office of Alumni Relations and Department of Athletics at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) are pleased to announce the Golden Eagle Athletic Hall of Fame inductions of Tyler Eckhoff ’09, Meghan Brady ’09 and Joseph King ’99.

Eckhoff captained the men’s cross country program to its first-ever Skyline Conference title in 2008 and earned All-Conference accolades in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Eckhoff still holds two program course records to this day.

Brady, a four-year member of the women’s soccer team, was the Skyline Conference’s Player of the Year in 2008 and led the Golden Eagles to three regular-season championships. A two-time All-Conference selection, the midfielder was also a NSCAA/adidas New York Region Third-Team honoree in 2008.

King, a four-year starter for the men’s baseball team, was a double All-Conference honoree, an NCAA Division III New York State All-Star and led the Golden Eagles to an ECAC Championship. King was MVP of the ’97 ECAC Tournament and a two-time Golden Eagle Award winner.

Established in 2008, the Golden Eagle Athletic Hall of Fame honors former athletes, coaches and friends of the College who have contributed significantly to the athletic program and continue to exemplify the principles of sportsmanship and integrity through their contributions and achievements in their respective communities and professions.
