WHO IS CONSIDERED AN “INTERNATIONAL STUDENT?”

If you are not currently a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and require Student Visa (F-1) sponsorship to enter, or remain, in the United States, you are considered to be an International Student. All prospective international students must demonstrate their ability to fund their educational expenses, including tuition, housing, books, etc. for the duration of their study.

About the Long Island Campus

Approximately 60 miles east of New York City. Just minutes from the vibrant Downtown Patchogue. Only a few miles away from the beautiful beaches. All just a few feet from inspiration. St. Joseph's University, Long Island Campus is an affordable private institution which offers quality education and a hands-on curriculum...exactly what you need for the career you deserve.

The Long Island campus is well situated on the South Shore of eastern Long Island, in the downstate region of New York State.  The University is just a short train ride into New York City, and minutes from the Great South Bay, L.I. MacArthur Airport, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Orient Point and many of Long Island's ocean beaches.

Spread over a 32-acre lakeside campus on the outskirts of Patchogue Village, facilities include six buildings and the new Outdoor Field Complex.

Please note that our Long Island campus does not have dormitories or housing options for international students. If you are considering enrolling at St. Joseph's University you will be required to independently secure housing. 

Campus Highlights

The John A. Danzi Athletic Center boasts an elevated track, six-lane pool, weight room, fitness center and NCAA regulation basketball court that can seat 1,500. The $8 million, 33,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Business Technology Center opened in October 2002, housing classrooms, computer labs and faculty offices.
