SJC To Honor Alumnus and Student at Upcoming Leadership Brunch

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. MAY 1, 2013 The Offices of Student Life and Alumni Relations at St. Josephs College (SJC) are pleased to announce they will be hosting their annual Leadership Brunch on Saturday, May 4 and will be honoring both an alumnus and future alumna who have stood out from the crowd as "leaders among leaders. This years honorees are Robert Sturges 06 and future alumna Kimberly Essig 13.

"I am so happy to announce this years Leadership Award recipients, said Paige Napoli Carbone 02, director of Alumni Relations on SJCs Long Island Campus. "Rob and Kimberly are two people who truly exemplify the values we try to instill in all of our students at St. Josephs. Rob is an outstanding alumnus whose commitment to the College really shows, and I look forward to welcoming Kimberly into the Alumni Association, upon her graduation, where I know she will continue to do great work.

Mr. Sturges is a financial planner who earned his B.S. in Business Administration from SJCs Long Island Campus. Current board member at large for SJCs Alumni Association, Mr. Sturges is an active alumnus being honored for his allegiance to the College.

Ms. Essig is president of the Student Government Association and a double major in child study and speech communication. A student athlete and active volunteer on the Long Island Campus, she is being honored for her current and future involvement with the College.
