PATCHOGUE, NY DECEMBER 22, 2009 The Long Island Regional Advisory Council on Higher Education (LIRACHE), in conjunction with Congressman Tim Bishop (D-Southampton), invites you to learn how to pay for your childs college education at its third annual Financial Aid Information Seminar hosted by St. Josephs College on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
The Financial Aid Information Seminar will include a keynote presentation by Congressman Tim Bishop and will be followed by a panel discussion by financial aid professionals from 19 colleges and universities from across Long Island. Topics will include applying for loans, common errors, early awareness, FAFSA and federal and state programs. A reception and a resource expo will conclude the evening.
"With their strong academics, extracurricular and internship opportunities and affordable tuition, Long Island's colleges and universities are an ideal choice for students, said James Muyskens, Queens College president and chair of LIRACHE. "In this current economic downturn, their educational value is even more evident."

ABOUT CONGRESSMAN TIM BISHOP
