Patchogue, N.Y. – January 29, 2015 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) and the Town of Huntington Small Business Incubator are pleased to partner for a series of business seminars for small businesses called, “Know the Basics.” Hosted by distinguished professionals, the seminar series will cover topics, such as presentations, entrepreneurship and customer service.

“St. Joseph's College is pleased to partner with the Huntington Business Incubator,” said Gail Lamberta, Ph.D., associate academic dean on the Long Island Campus of SJC. “Biz Inc. provides new businesses and entrepreneurs a co-working space with all of the necessary equipment and technical assistance necessary to start their new ventures. The workshops offered by SJC will help these entrepreneurs and new businesses establish a strong foundation while providing them with the necessary tools for success.”

The “Know the Basics” workshops include:

Thursday, February 26 - What's the Fuss over Customer Service and Why is it Important to Small Businesses? - Presented by Robert Feiler, adjunct professor in the Department of Business Administration at SJC, this seminar will be an interactive discussion on best practices for customer service. Topics include driving new business, selling deeper into existing relationships, using customer service to differentiate your business in the marketplace and how customer service relates to pricing.

Wednesday, March 25 - Business Stress? Try ZUMBA Fitness for 2015. This workshop will be presented by Lisa Galasso, exercise instructor and alumni relations officer at the Long Island Campus of SJC. Attendees will participate in group exercise that infuses Latin-inspired dance steps.
