SJC to Host STEM Alumni Career Panel

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – OCTOBER 24, 2014 – The Office of Alumni Engagement at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will host a panel of SJC alumni for an event titled, “Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math” on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center on the College’s Long Island Campus in Patchogue, New York.

“Now, more than ever, it is important to highlight our SJC alumni who have found successful careers in their chosen STEM fields after graduating from St. Joseph’s,” said Paige Napoli Carbone ’02, director of alumni engagement at SJC. “This event will open many people’s minds to the possibilities that exist within the important subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.”

The panelists are Russell Blumenthal ’08, systems administrator at Stony Brook University Hospital; Nick Sciallo ’09, senior actuarial analyst at Actuarial and Technical Solutions in Bohemia, New York; Ann Eckardt Erlanger ’05, research scientist at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center; Ricardo Campos ’12, mathematics teacher at Brooklyn High School for Leadership and Community Service; Domna Zachary ’85, R.N., M.P.A., senior health care IT consultant; Jennifer Martinez ’08, Ph.D. candidate and graduate research assistant in the molecular and cellular biology program at Stony Brook University and Meghan Caiazzo ’12, graduate student at New York University’s Polytech School of Engineering.
