SJNY NAMED ONE OF U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT’S BEST UNIVERSITIES

BROOKLYN and PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – September 25, 2024 – St. Joseph’s University, New York (SJNY) was once again named one of the nation’s top universities by U.S. News & World Report. For more than a decade, St. Joseph’s has ranked among the nation’s top universities in the Regional Universities–North category.

Landing at #55 of top universities, SJNY was ranked among other universities in categories such as graduation and retention rates; graduation rate performance; financial resources per student; graduates’ earning potential and peer assessments.

“Over the past several years SJNY's rankings have risen dramatically, and so we are especially pleased at our success this year,” said SJNY President Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph.D. “Earning the #55 spot on this year’s list is confirmation that the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the hard work of our students, is truly something to be proud of.”

In April 2022, St. Joseph’s College was approved for elevation to university status, marking the beginning of St. Joseph’s next chapter as a mission-driven institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition that provides a strong academic and value-oriented education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and supports provision for career preparation and enhancement.

With campuses in Brooklyn, Long Island and Online, SJNY was selected to this year’s list of top Regional Universities–North based on its high graduation and retention rates, financial resources per student, peer assessment and student-to-faculty ratio.
