PATCHOGUE, NY MARCH 16, 2010 St. Josephs College is pleased to announce that faculty member Diane Pfadenhauer has been named as one of Long Islands Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business for 2010 by Long Island Business News. Ms. Pfadenhauer was also recently appointed by Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy and the Suffolk County Legislature to serve as a member of the Suffolk County Public Employment Relations Board.

Long Island Business News named Ms. Pfadenhauer as one of Long Islands Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business for her extensive work in the local business community. Selected by a judging committee based on business acumen, mentoring and community involvement, this honor recognizes the significant contributions of women professionals to the regions economy and to the communities in which they do business.
Ms. Pfadenhauers credentials and experience working with businesses on Long Island gained the attention of Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, who appointed her as a member of the Suffolk County Public Employment Relations Board. In this position, Ms. Pfadenhauer will oversee issues with unionized public sector employees in Suffolk County. The Board was created to promote a harmonious and cooperative relationship between county government and its employees and to protect the public by assuring that orderly operations of county government will go uninterrupted.
Ms. Pfadenhauer is an assistant professor in the Department of Graduate Management Studies at St. Josephs College. She teaches several courses on topics including business law, employment law, human resources and organizational management.
