Make an impact. Engage with others in a meaningful way. Get ready.
If you are interested in providing professional social work services to your community, advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves, or you are deeply committed to ensuring individual and community needs are met, then St. Joseph’s University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program is right for you.
The MSW program at St. Joseph’s University prepares students to work in the field of professional social work as generalist and clinical practitioners with a commitment to social justice, diversity, and individual and community empowerment.
St. Joseph's University is founded on the 400-year history of the Sisters of St. Joseph, whose commitment to social justice and the well-being of the world around them has served as the basis of their lives. Much like the Sisters of St. Joseph have lived their lives in service to others and to their communities, St. Joseph’s University’s MSW program graduates will be ready to serve those in need of support, guidance and assistance.
Make a difference in the world around you and join the next generation of professional social workers with an MSW from our Long Island campus.
"The mission of St. Joseph’s University includes a focus on value-oriented education, career preparation and enhancement, and social responsibility and service. Just as the Sisters of St. Joseph have historically been guided by the focus on inclusivity, justice and caring for one’s neighbors as we would care for our own, so too is the profession of social work."
The Flexibility You Need: Work toward your degree full- or part-time, with day, evening, weekend, and online classes available.
