"During my senior year at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, I wanted to find a college that would foster my educational development and provide me with an opportunity to be an active member on campus. St. Joseph's University has not only met these needs, but it has exceeded my expectations.

"The University's faculty is genuinely interested in challenging and assisting students, in an effort to create a positive learning environment. Specifically, the accounting department is comprised of numerous professionals with invaluable real world experience.

Since earning my B.S. in Accounting from St. Joseph's University, I have been interning with Grant Thornton LLP, which is widely recognized as one of the world's largest certified public accounting firms. I would not be with Grant Thornton today without the assistance of the accounting department at St. Joseph's University.

"Learning from these professionals has had a monumental impact on my accounting career. In addition to its outstanding faculty, the University has numerous clubs and service opportunities for students to explore their interests and to provide help to those in need of assistance.

"Accounting is the backbone of the business world. Without accounting, financial information could not be properly quantified and reported to organizational stakeholders. By majoring in accounting, I have a unique opportunity to pursue various career paths. This level of versatility was highly appealing to me, when I was considering my major for college. Anyone who is interested in pursing a career in the business world should seriously consider majoring in accounting, as its distinct nature enables individuals to pursue careers that they truly desire."
