PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – March 26, 2015 – The Office of Alumni Relations at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will be hosting the annual Graduate Management Studies Dinner on Thursday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Lombardi’s on the Bay in Patchogue.
The event’s keynote speaker will be Heidi Hayden ’98, M.S.,’05, SPHR. Hayden is the chief people officer at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City and a lecturer on SJC’s Long Island Campus. She is also the recipient of this year’s Thomas A. Doherty Award for Ethical Leadership and a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Hayden will discuss how her battlefield skills translated to the business world.
“This event is an excellent opportunity to connect with other graduate management studies alumni and build your professional network,” said Lisa Galasso ’08 M.S., E.M.B.A. ’13, alumni engagement associate at SJC. “You will also gain career advice from professionals who represent a variety of careers in business.”
The SJC Alumni Association will also be acknowledging Stephanie Burke M.S. ’15, recipient of this year’s Graduate Management Scholarship Leadership Award. Burke is a human resources manager at Atlas Financial Holding, Inc. in New York City and is president of SJC’s student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.
This event is open to alumni, students, faculty, staff, organizations and/or established businesses, accounting and health care professionals who are looking to network. Tickets are $35 per person and include a buffet dinner. RSVP online before April 12. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Graduate Management Studies Leadership Scholarship.
