PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – March 17, 2015 – The Office of Admissions at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will host a college planning workshop featuring Marguerite J. Dennis, higher education expert and author of The New College Guide: How to Get In, Get Out and Get a Job, on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in The Muriel & Virginia Pless Center for Performing Arts, located on the College’s Long Island Campus.
“This seminar will prove that a college education is attainable, affordable and students can graduate in four years and get a good job,” said Gigi Lamens, associate vice president for enrollment management at SJC. “Students who attend this seminar will gain valuable information and advice that will help simplify the college admissions process for both parents and students.”
Dennis has been an admissions and financial aid director for more than 40 years. She is the author of five books on college financing and enrollment management, and has published more than 100 articles on college admission, financial aid, student success and graduation. Dennis is a consultant to national and international colleges and universities, and lectures on higher education management and future trends.
