PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – November 13, 2017 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is proud to sponsor the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce’s 15th Annual Emerging Leaders Competition on Wednesday, November 29 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at SJC Long Island in Patchogue.

The annual competition is open to high school students across Long Island and challenges them to think beyond the scope of the classroom while giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and capabilities in a business environment.

“SJC is proud to partner again with the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce for this wonderful event,” said Gail Lamberta, associate dean for community development at SJC. “Throughout the years, we have watched high school students reach new levels in their understanding of business concepts and as an institution that is devoted to learning, we look forward to helping make this happen every year.”

Students will use their understanding of business to address tasks and current issues in categories including: retail marketing, graphic design, public relations, hospitality services, entrepreneurship, travel and tourism, human resources, sports marketing, entertainment marketing, not-for-profit fundraising and job interview skills.
