PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – In celebration of Earth Day, the Sustainability Committee at St. Joseph's College (SJC) will host a series of events for Earth Week beginning on Monday, April 17 and leading up to Earth Day on Saturday, April 22. The events will take place at SJC Long Island located in Patchogue, New York.
The Earth Week schedule is as follows:
“With this series of events, we hope to educate the SJC community on what local organizations and individuals are doing to protect the environment,” said Kirk Lawrence, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Sociology at SJC Long Island. “Our hope is that attendees become inspired enough to take action toward sustainability.”
