BROOKLYN, N.Y. – October 16, 2020 - The Writer’s Foundry at SJC Brooklyn is pleased to announce that several members of its faculty will conduct a virtual panel called “Writing and Resistance: How to Be a Literary Citizen,” on Wednesday, October 21 at 6 p.m.
Moderated by Writer's Foundry faculty member Steven Hobbs, the panel consists of:
"Writing & Resistance: How to be a Literary Citizen" will address the role and the responsibility of the writer during times of critical social unrest. During this panel, the writers will discuss their work respective works and present their views about the balance between art and activism.
"This discussion will feature some of the most talented writers out there right now," said Lee Clay Johnson, director of the Writer’s Foundry. "It's not only about examining relevant and timely issues, but also about celebrating the practice of literary creation."
This discussion is free and open to the public.
