PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – February 26, 2015 – The Departments of Health Care Administration, Nursing and Human Services at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will host a panel discussion on “Transforming Health Care on Long Island” on Friday, March 20 at 8:30 a.m. in the McGann Conference Center, located on the College’s Long Island Campus.
The featured panel of local health care experts including, Gwen O’Shea, president and CEO of Health and Welfare Council of Long Island; Wendy Darwell, vice president and chief operating officer of the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council; and Joseph Lamantia, chief of operations for Population Health at Stony Brook Medicine. The panel discussion will be moderated by John Sardelis, Dr.P.H., associate chairperson of the Department of Health Administration at SJC.
“The Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program, a multi-billion dollar program in New York State, is underway and promises to restructure the health care delivery system by reinvesting in the Medicaid program,” said Dr. Sardelis. “At this event, you will learn from a panel of experts what changes you can expect at your organization and how it may affect your career.”
