SJC’s Council for the Arts Presents Flamenco Viva II

BROOKLYN, N.Y. November 27, 2013 The St. Josephs College (SJC) Council for the Arts is pleased to announce that, for the sixth consecutive year, acclaimed dance group
Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana will perform at the Colleges Brooklyn Campus. The performance, Navidad Flamenca, will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium, St. Josephs College, 245 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn.
For this performance, Flamenco Viva will explore the celebration of Christmas in Latin America. This free community performance thrills audiences with the rich holiday customs of the Spanish-speaking world from Argentina and Mexico to Colombia, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Through music, carols and dance, Navidad Flamenca highlights traditions all united by a single language and reflects the influences of the Spanish culture throughout the Americas.

Founded by President S. Elizabeth A. Hill, C.S.J., J.D., the St. Josephs College Council for the Arts is a coalition of students, faculty members and staff who serve as a focal point for St. Josephs Colleges educational and community outreach programming in the arts. By expanding and integrating campus arts activities, the Council seeks to enhance the public image of the College as a cultural center in Brooklyn and aims to make arts and cultural events more accessible to its students and area neighbors.
