SJC to Host Fourth Annual Brooklyn Business Expo

BROOKLYN, N.Y. March 27, 2013 - St. Josephs Community Advisory Council is pleased to announce that it will host the fourth annual Brooklyn (Kings County) Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Brooklyn Business Expo on Thursday, April 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium. This event, entitled "Rebuilding Business: Weathering Hard Times, will feature interactive workshops. Although this event is free and open to the public, businesses and individuals are asked to register for the Expo online.

"The Chamber is proud to partner once again with the business department at St. Joseph's College to produce our fourth annual Business Expo, said Rick Miranda, president of the Brooklyn (Kings County) Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. "Along with a prime opportunity to network and showcase their products, we are also offering voter registration and information on immigration reform. We hope aspiring and existing entrepreneurs will come out and join us.

This Expo will offer participating businesses and entrepreneurs with an opportunity to meet up and discuss their products and services. In addition, the Chamber has secured several leading figures in the Brooklyn business community to conduct four interactive workshops: The Latest Best Practices for Businesses, How to Secure MWBE Certification and How to Successfully Complete FEMA Applications. Created by the Department of Business at St. Joseph's Colleges Brooklyn Campus, the Community Advisory Council plays a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and congenial business environment in its home borough of Brooklyn.
