ST. JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY, NEW YORK WINS FOLIO AWARD

BROOKLYN and PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – June 7, 2024 – St. Joseph’s University, New York (SJNY) is pleased to announce the University received this year’s Fair Media Council Folio Award for Best Use of Instagram at the 2024 Folio Awards, held at the Garden City Hotel.

The annual event recognizes national, New York regional and Long Island hyperlocal news stories that illustrate exceptional and relevant journalism, as well as social media campaigns and assets that educate, inspire or enlighten individuals. In addition, the event recognizes Lifetime Achievement honorees for their work in journalism and media. 

“It is an honor to be recognized among this year’s Folio Award winners,” said Jessica McAleer Decatur, vice president for marketing and communications at SJNY. “We would like to thank Jaci Clement and the Fair Media Council, and congratulate all of our fellow honorees.” 

Among the news categories, honorees were selected for Story of the Year, Best Newscast, Best Newspaper, Breaking News, Arts and Culture, Best Column, Best Editorial, Feature, Best Interview, Entertainment and more. In addition to St. Joseph’s Best Use of Instagram award, social media category honorees were selected for Social Media Master, Best Blog, Best Use of Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok, Campaign of the Year, Best Podcast, Best Website, Best YouTube Channel and more.
