SJC ANNOUNCES FALL BROOKLYN VOICES LECTURE SERIES

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – August 21, 2017 – St. Joseph’s College, in partnership with Greenlight Bookstore, is pleased to announce that it will welcome some of the most highly regarded writers in literature to SJC Brooklyn for the fall 2017 Brooklyn Voices lecture series.

“This fall's Brooklyn Voices series continues the community's rich legacy of contributions to the literary scene,” said SJC President Donald R. Boomgaarden, Ph.D. “Our relationship with Greenlight Bookstore is a valuable opportunity to open our doors to our neighbors, and I am delighted to welcome such a diverse and accomplished slate of writers and interlocutors to SJC Brooklyn.”  

The fall Brooklyn Voices lecture series schedule is:
• Wednesday, September 6: Nathan Englander presents Dinner at the Center of the Earth, in conversation with Jonathan Safran Foer.
• Thursday, September 14: Karl Ove Knausgaard presents Autumn, in conversation with Katie Kitamura.
• Monday, October 2: Jeffrey Eugenides presents Fresh Complaint: Stories, in conversation with Ruth Franklin.
• Wednesday, November 1: Matt Taibbi presents I Can’t Breathe: A Killing on Bay Street.

All events are open to the public. Tickets are $30 and attendees will receive a copy of the featured book, and an opportunity to have it signed following the talk. Details and updates can be found at
