He was the recipient of the NYCPM Student Service Award and Fairfield University Community Partnership Scholarship Award. During his time as a student, Dr. Morales was a student-athlete who played baseball and volleyball, was a member of Pi Delta Mu; the National Biological Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta; and the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi. He has numerous published articles, as well as extensive training as a laboratory technician and teacher’s assistant.

“Continuing the College's commitment to deepening the Board's understanding of the young alumni experience, it is our great pleasure to welcome Raymond Morales,” said Rory Shaffer-Walsh, SJC’s vice president for institutional advancement. “We are looking forward to Raymond's unique perspective, background and insight which will help guide and provide leadership to St. Joseph's College.”

SJC’s young alumni trustees bring a unique voice to board discussions and meetings, as well as assist the board in developing areas for greater student impact opportunities. Most importantly, the young alumni trustees provide the full board with a perspective that is relatively current and informed by their experience as students and their knowledge of the needs, concerns and interests of the current generation of SJC students.
