September 14, 2009

BROOKLYN, N.Y. September 15, 2009 St. Josephs College Council for the Arts is pleased to present Max Pollaks "RumbaTap, a high-energy dance group that fuses the energy of American Rhythm Tap with authentic Afro-Cuban music and dance. This performance will take place on Thursday, October 1 at 12:40 p.m. in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium on the Colleges Brooklyn Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Max Pollak, named to Dance Magazines "25 to Watch list in 2007, was the first person to merge American Rhythm Tap with Afro-Cuban music and dance. Capturing the charged electricity and power of a Latin Jazz "Orquesta," RumbaTap features a multi-talented international cast of musicians and dancers. The company has toured throughout Europe, Japan and the United States; last year performing for a large crowd at New York City's Central Park Summer Stage.
