BROOKLYN, NY October 26, 2011 - St. Josephs College School of Professional and Graduate Studies is pleased to announce that Ethan Chazin, president and founder of the Chazin Group, will present the latest installation of the Management Roundtable lecture series on Wednesday, November 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. This lecture, entitled, "Using Social Media to Advance Your Career, will be held in the Tuohy Hall Student Lounge, 245 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn, and is free and open to the public.
At this lecture, participants will learn the basics of aligning ones online and offline branding efforts in order to gain an advantage in todays hyper-competitive job market. Topics discussed will include the importance of LinkedIn as a tool to advance your career, how to create powerful online profiles to reinforce your true value proposition, and how to use the groups and discussion functions within LinkedIn to further develop your identity. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will have the knowledge they need to conduct an integrated online self-branding campaign by leveraging LinkedIn and other social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook in order to secure the job they want.
Chazin has led teams through significant transformations across several industries over the past 20 years. He possesses expertise in marketing, sales, new business development, client relationships, communications, employee enrichment and strategic planning, while serving most of the Fortune 500 as clients. As an executive recruiter and career coach he has helped more than 10,000 job seekers to find employment. He is an adjunct professor at New York University, Fordham University, Baruch College, and St. Johns University.
