SJC to Host Graduate Management Research Symposium

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Monday, December 1, 2014 – The Department of Graduate Management Studies at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that it will host its annual graduate management research symposium on Thursday, December 4 from 6-9:30 p.m. in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium located on the College’s Brooklyn Campus.

 “It is our hope that both businesses and employers can benefit from the painstaking research undertaken by our graduate students and gain valuable insights on emerging trends in business,” said Dr. Sharon Didier, chair of the graduate management studies department. “In addition, these presentations will illustrate the caliber of our students, our program and the quality of work that one can expect from a graduate of this program.”

At this event, seven SJC graduate students will present the findings of their year-long research projects in a number of disciplines ranging from health care, human relations and the personal security industry. The topics of study reflect the changing needs of the workforce in these areas and will present compelling, data-driven solutions to the identified challenges. These issues were analyzed and framed through the unique model that drives SJC’s graduate management program, focusing on a synthesis of professional experience, managerial abilities and emotional intelligence that prepares graduates to make immediate and lasting contributions to their employers and their community.
