Michael Robinson ’11, MBA ’14
B.S. in Health Administration, MBA in Health Care Management

"As a transfer student who just completed my associate's degree, I was looking for a program that would be academically challenging, have faculty who were actively engaged in the career advancement of their students, and accept a large number of the credits that I had just worked to obtain. The undergraduate Health Administration program met and exceeded all of my expectations. The small class sizes and caring faculty fostered an environment where I could apply what I was learning in the classroom to the challenges I observed every day in the workplace. I appreciate the opportunity I had to learn from and engage with my classmates in an environment that was supportive and dynamic. It's why we call it the St. Joe's family."

The Brooklyn Health Administration Major Experience

Prominent Guest Lecturers: Senior executives from local healthcare systems often come to campus to guest lecture. These speakers help identify career opportunities, and some may even become part of your network of healthcare contacts.

Internship Experience: See how large healthcare systems function while gaining real-life experience in the field through an internship. This also offers the opportunity to network with potential future employers.

Learn from Professionals: Our professors have worked in the field, so students learn about the latest trends affecting the industry. The campus’ small classes establish an optimal learning environment where students get individual attention and support in all aspects of their education.

Flexible Scheduling and Credit for Experience

Creating a schedule that fits into your busy life has never been easier. Regardless of your age, work schedule or other commitments, at St. Joseph’s, we offer flexible scheduling options — including evening and online classes — that can fit the busy lifestyle of any student. In fact, St. Joseph's University offers students the chance to participate in the Prior Experiential Learning Assessment (PELA) Program, which gives you the opportunity to apply for credit for the experiential learning you have acquired during your career. Validated learning, not the experience alone, is the basis for awarding up to 27 PELA credits.
