Graduate Nursing Admissions Process
Applicants for the graduate program in nursing must meet the following requirements:
- An application accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $25 (Waived for St. Joseph's University Alumni)
- Have a B.S. with a major in nursing from a nationally accredited program (ACEN, NLNAC, CNEA or CCNE)
- Minimal GPA of 3.0
- Completed one year of professional clinical practice prior to admission
- Provide proof of New York State R.N. license and current professional registration
- Submit a current curriculum vitae and personal statement
- Submit two letters of reference (at least one from a clinical supervisor who can address clinical competence)
- Official College Transcripts. Submit transcripts from all colleges attended. Request official transcripts to be sent to: St. Joseph's University Office of Admissions, 155 W. Roe Blvd., Patchogue, NY 11772.
- Eligible students will be invited to interview
- Proof of malpractice insurance
