Learn about technology. Be in demand. Get ready.
Dive into the constantly evolving world of computers and pursue a computer information technology degree.
Our computer and information technology students graduate with the critical thinking skills necessary to thrive in a growing and exciting field. Furthermore, computer and information technology jobs are projected to grow 11 percent from 2019 to 2029 — much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Learn from professors who are experts in their field. Become an innovative thinker, and solve problems in such diverse fields as programming, database management and desktop support. Make your mark in the world with a bachelor’s degree in computer and information technology from our Brooklyn campus.
"When I sat down in the lab room for the first time in my freshman year, I can still remember how intrigued I was when I looked at the syntax of a computer program for the first time — and how challenging and fun those first computer science classes were. The first-hand experiences and practical knowledge I gained from the rigorous courses at St. Joe's prepared me for my summer internship (virtually) at Bright Network and an online externship at AT&T. In the future, I plan to use the algorithms I learned from my computer science courses and internships to help solve cyber attacks and defend against other technological warfare."
Internship Experience: Students in our program have interned at such prestigious companies and institutions as Microsoft, Google and NASA.
Career Opportunities: A degree in computer and information technology opens doors to an array of potential careers, including software developer, computer forensic analyst, database administrator, computer programmer and computer network architect.
Minors that Matter: Pair a computer and information technology major with business administration, computer science, marketing, mathematics and many other minors.
Creating a schedule that fits into your busy life has never been easier. Regardless of your age, work schedule or other commitments, at St. Joseph’s, we offer flexible scheduling options — including evening classes — that can fit the busy lifestyle of any student.
