How to Schedule an Appointment

To schedule an initial counseling appointment, please click on the link below to fill out all forms. You will be asked to complete a set of online forms with items relation to background information and functioning in a variety of areas. You will also be asked to review a "consent for treatment" form that describes the counseling relationship and limits to confidentiality. Once all forms are filled out, one of our counselors will get in contact with you to schedule an intake session.

When to Scheduling an Appointment

Often times, students may perceive their concerns as insignificant, hesitate to inconvenience others, or believe they should handle their issues independently. The Office of Counseling and Wellness encourages every student, regardless of the magnitude of their concerns, to contact us for assistance. We appreciate the bravery to step through our doors and schedule that initial appointment.

The Office for Counseling and Wellness serves as a resource where students can seek support for personal, emotional, psychological, and social challenges. Some students seek assistance for issues such as self-esteem or relationship struggles, feelings of anxiety or depression, academic pressures, or experiences of trauma.

We provide counseling and wellness services for a full range of problems that include but not limited to:

  • Anxiety/stress
  • Depression/sadness
  • Your grades are slipping
  • You are sleeping too little or too much
  • Eating too much or too little
  • Worries about health
  • Relationship problems
  • Lack of motivation
  • Emotional, physical, or sexual abuse
  • Loneliness
  • Alcohol or drug problems
  • Difficulty concentrating or studying
  • Sexuality or gender identity concerns
  • Overload with school/work/family
  • Feeling rejected
  • Shyness/social anxiety
  • Family problems
  • Adjustment to college
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Death of a loved one or relationship loss
  • Self-harming or risky behavior
  • You have experienced a trauma

Training, Consultations and Referral Resources

The Office of Counseling and Wellness offers training for faculty and staff, aiding in the assessment and intervention processes to ensure a safe university community.
