In addition to the below requirements by specific programs, some programs may also require pre-requisite classes.
Business/Graduate Management Studies
- Submit one completed letter of reference. Reference can be from an academic source, or from a professional source (preferred).
- Send an essay or personal statement of 200-250 words on your professional goals and why you are seeking a graduate degree.
Advanced Certificate in Management Studies
- Send an essay or personal statement of 200-250 words on your professional goals and why you are seeking a graduate degree.
Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Complete two letters of recommendation. Reference can be from an academic source or professional source.
- Students seeking the Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis must possess a minimum of a master's degree (minimum 3.0 G.P.A.) that was conferred in behavior analysis, education, psychology or a field related to behavior analysis (as approved by NYS and the BACB).
Advanced Certificate in Mathematics Education
- Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics (or 30 credits in mathematics) with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Submit your GRE score report (any applicants with teaching certification who have a graduate degree are exempt from taking the GRE)
- On your resume, list two references with contact information
Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education
- Applicants must have a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program (ACEN, NLNAC or CCNE) with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Submit a copy of your current RN License. Applicants are required to have a minimum of one year of recent RN experience in a clinical area requiring such acute care skills as a hospital setting, home care or long term care facility.
- Submit proof of certificate of basic life-support training.
- Complete two letters of recommendation. References can be from the applicant’s superiors (manager, supervisor, staff educator) in the health care setting, or one from a superior and another from a faculty member where the applicant earned their baccalaureate or master’s degree in nursing. The letters should address the applicant’s academic and clinical skills and their ability to complete the program.
- Submit a 200-250 word personal statement that addresses the reason you are interested in pursuing post-graduate work in this area of study.
M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Complete two letters of recommendation. Reference can be from an academic source or professional source.
- Students seeking the Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis must possess a bachelor's degree (minimum of 3.0 GPA). There is no specific program the degree must have been conferred in.
