State Authorization

St. Joseph's University, New York has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education and is administered by the four regional education compacts: Midwestern Higher Education Compact, New England Board of Higher Education, Southern Regional Education Board and the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education. Membership is open to all degree-granting postsecondary institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
